How much does it cost to use Telemed?   

Expect to pay around $85 typically   (2018)

In-House (in person) Office Visits average $160-$180

Does insurance cover Telemed services.     Yes, BUT your  insurance may not. This is a conversation for your Insurance carrier and the Telemed provider.

Who will I speak with?  

Board Certified doctors will be provided to you based on the state you are located. 


Can Telemed be accessed on mobile devices?  Yes, but it is typically by telephone only... no online access needed

What to expect during your doctor visits
Most doctor visits take about 15 minutes.  You may talk with a Doctor immediately or schedule a time that is convenient. 

Doctors  review your medical history, answer questions, diagnose, treat and even prescribe medication.


Prescriptions will be sent to your pharmacy of choice.

Rx Buyers Club pharmacies are set up to to deliver medications quickly when prescribed through one of our Telemed affiliates.

Is telemedicine safe?
Guided by technical standards and clinical practice guidelines, and backed by decades of research and demonstrations, telemedicine is a safe and cost-effective way to extend the delivery of health care.  ATA has produced a series of standards, guidelines and best practices for healthcare providers to ensure that they are using telemedicine responsibly.

Confidentiality is a respected. Laws are also in place to protect your privacy. The HIPAA Privacy Rule is designed to be a minimum level of protection. Some states have even stricter laws in place to protect your personal health information.

What is the distinction between telemedicine and telehealth?
